Bethlehem – Inter Campus Palestine will embark on a new adventure participating in the third phase of the “Child Friendly School” project, where VIS (Italian Volunteering for Development) will work to make schools in the areas C and H2 – the most vunerable and disadvantaged Palestinian communities – up to the required standards for children to receive an education.
Each partner involved in the project will bring their own specific expertise with the common goal of contributing to the protetction of the most vunerable Palestinians subjected to grave violations of basic human rights.
Action Against Hunger will see to the restructuring of four schools to make them safer and more functional, whilst VIS will provide didactic materials, like computers and projectors, to provide the children with the best opportunity to learn.
Inter Campus will hold an eight-day Summer Camp for 80 children in the municipality of Dura, where football will not only be played but used as a tool for education and personal growth. Throughout the Summer Camp, research will be carried out to investigate the resources available and the children’s limitations, both from an individual perspective and as a group, in order to use specific exercises to improve and stimolate learning.
The project is financed by AICS (Italian Agency for the Co-operation in Development) through their Emergency programme that finances twelve-month projects that look to intervene in highly vunerable situations.
