ROMA - First the Scudetto, then the Italian Super Cup and now the Coppa Italia: Inter have clinched their third trophy in 12 months and their second of the season. At the end of the Nerazzurri’s nail-biting 4-2 win against Juventus, Lautaro Martinez could be seen hugging all his team-mates at the Stadio Olimpico. There was no hiding his joy and it was clear how much the victory meant to the Argentinian, which he shared with Inter TV after the game.

“Following the match against Empoli, we thought only about this cup. We put in an incredible amount of effort, so we deserve it. We wanted to win whatever the cost: for the fans, for us, for the club and for everyone who works hard every day for this team.

“We lack no courage in this team. We want to take Inter to the top. We’re thinking about and celebrating today, then we’ll look ahead to the final two games of the season. This will give us a big boost, even though we’ll have to build our energy back up. I didn’t score, but the important thing is that Inter got the win.”
