MILAN – Happy birthday, Alessandro Altobelli! Born in Sonnino in 1955, “Spillo” Altobelli joined Inter in 1977 and went on to make 466 appearances for the club over 11 seasons in which he bagged 209 goals to take him up to second in the all-time scoring charts after Giuseppe Meazza.
A World Cup winner in 1982, the striker won the Scudetto in 1979/80 and the Coppa Italia in 1977/78 and 1981/82 and is a current nominee to be inducted into the Inter Hall of Fame.
