APPIANO GENTILE – Arturo Vidal has spoken of his desire to rediscover his best form and show everyone 'the real Vidal' this term after missing the latter stages of last season through injury.
The midfielder, who returned to Appiano Gentile this week following his Copa America exertions with Chile, also shared his thoughts on pre-season training and the coming campaign.
“I can't wait to start playing again,” Vidal told Inter TV. “I missed the last few months of last year and I want to get back to my best now and show everyone the real Vidal. I know I can do that in this team. I get on really well with everyone and we all trust each other.
“I'm happy to come back here after the holidays. We had a good run in the Copa America and I obviously spoke to Lautaro [Martinez] and congratulated him after Argentina won it. He had a superb tournament and it will do a lot for his career.”
“I've got to know Inzaghi. He's a great coach who makes you feel good. It was nice to see my team-mates again. We're training well and hard because we want to do well both in Italy and in the Champions League this year. We have to defend the title and go as far as we possibly can in Europe.”
