MILAN – Inter's win against Sassuolo was a deserved and convincing one. It was the fruit of a brilliant performance from a well-organised team, and never really looked in doubt. The determination in the opening phases, Sanchez's goal after just three minutes and the ensuing consistency, with the Chiriches own-goal - forced by Vidal - and Gagliardini's effort to make it 3-0. Inter now move to 18 points in Serie A.
The four candidates are:
Sanchez: after his goal against Torino, the Chilean got back on the scoresheet against Sassuolo, scoring the opener
Gagliardini: he killed off the game with his goal to make it 3-0 (Inter have actually won all 11 Serie A games, in which the Italian midfielder has scored)
Lautaro Martinez: a constant thorn in the Neroverde's side, he assists Sanchez's opener
Darmian: a key figure in the Nerazzurri's build-up and balance, it was his ball that set up Gagliardini's goal
