Six different goalscorers and an inspired Alexis: Inter vs. Brescia, all you need to know

The most interesting pieces of triva from the Nerazzurri's win over Brescia

MILAN – The Nerazzurri’s 6-0 victory over Brescia brought with it an array of impressive statistics. Here’s a summary of the best stats from our win, in collaboration with Opta.

  • Six different Inter players found the net (Young, Sanchez, D’Ambrosio, Gagliardini, Eriksen and Candreva) for the first time since our win over Reggina in November 2003: on that day, the goalscorers were Cannavaro, Martins, Van der Meyde, Farinos, Cruz, and Vieri. Lots of players hit the mark, but this is nothing new for Conte’s Inter (click here).
  • The last time that Inter won by a margin of six goals was in March 2017, in our 7-1 win over Atalanta.
  • Danilo D’Ambrosio is one of only two defenders who has scored at least twice in each of the last five Serie A seasons, the other being Leonardo Bonucci.
  • No other Serie A team has seen more players score penalties than Inter, with four Nerazzurri finding the mark from the spot this season. No club has had a better record than Inter in the Top Five European leagues: the Nerazzurri have scored nine penalties out of nine, with the scorers being Lukaku, Lautaro, Esposito and Alexis.
  • In his four games as a starter this season in Serie A, Alexis Sánchez has played a part in 6 goals, with two goals and four assists.
  • For the third time in his career in the Top Five European leagues, Alexis Sánchez scored and provided two assists in the same match, the last time being in April 2013 during his spell at Barcelona.

  • The last time that a Serie A match was played in July was in 1948, the year that Torino won the Scudetto.
